The Challenge
Indian legal professionals are overwhelmed by manual due diligence and disjointed workflows. They often juggle physical papers, email threads, and multiple browser tabs for research. Existing legal software exacerbates this with cluttered dashboards, "Dark Mode" heavy aesthetics that cause eye strain, and "Black Box" AI that lawyers inherently mistrust.
The Solution
We built Claussal.ai as a "Digital Legal Pad" a workspace designed to feel as natural as reading a physical deed. Visual Trust: We rejected the standard "Tech SaaS" look. By unifying the Landing Page and Dashboard under a strict Alabaster (#F9F9F7) theme, we created a seamless reading environment that mimics high-end stationery. Cognitive Ease: We adopted a "Tri-Pane Focus" layout. The central pane is reserved strictly for the document (the "Paper"), while navigation and AI insights live in collapsible sidebars, reducing visual noise.
Tri-Pane Dashboard
A dedicated layout with a "Clean" document view in the center, navigation on the left, and AI insights on the right.
Smart Redlining
The "Apply Redline" feature allows lawyers to accept AI-generated rephrasing with a single click, instantly converting suggestions into tracked changes.
Legislative Grounding
Risk cards explicitly cite Indian acts (IPC, Contract Act 1872) to back up every flag, solving the "hallucination" fear.
Compare Mode
A seamless toggle at the bottom of the screen to switch between the original raw contract and the AI-analyzed version.
The Process
We started with a "Function-First" philosophy. To solve the trust issue, we designed the "Glass Box" interaction model. When the AI flags a risk, it doesn't just give a warning; it explicitly cites the relevant Indian statute (e.g., DPDP Act, 2023) in the sidebar, grounding every algorithmic suggestion in verifiable law.
